hey, I'm Mel!

I am a mama of two and wife of 18 years to my college sweetheart, Ryan. I earned my B.S. in Biology from Indiana University in 2004 while playing volleyball there and garnering All Big-Ten honors as a four-year starter.  After graduating from I.U., I earned my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University in 2006, and went on to work as a retail pharmacist from 2010-2016.  

In 2016, I decided to leave the pharmacy world in order to work from home in social selling and have more time with my young girls and husband.  Recently, I jumped back into volleyball and became a head coach at the varsity level in my home town.

After visiting Cambodia in the summer of 2019 with Rapha International, a Christian organization committed to ending the trafficking and sexual exploitation of children, I quickly became an advocate against human trafficking and a champion of ethical + fair trade fashion.  These passions led me to founding my market, Arrive Market, an online ethically made market for women.  

I currently reside in southern Indiana with my family and continue to educate women on trafficking and how their purchases can fight modern day slavery + create dignified work around the world.  

As a pharmacist, I also make it my mission to help inquisitive & protective mothers decode & transform their medicine cabinets & bathrooms. I believe as mamas we are the gatekeepers of our homes & we only want to give our families what are truly safe & effective.

Lastly, as a former D1 volleyball player, I have a passion for teaching/coaching the sport, as well as showing parents how to help their young players succeed from elementary to college.
